The 29th Annual Nancy Hanks Lecture of Arts and Public Policy

On March 7th, John Maeda, delivered the 29th Annual Nancy Hanks Lecture on Arts and Public Policy. The Nancy Hanks Lecture on Arts and Public Policy is a leading national forum for arts policy intended to stimulate dialogue on policy and social issues affecting the arts. This year’s lecture was led by, John Maeda, a designer, technologist and art advocate, is also a partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, a world-leading venture capital firm in Silicon Valley. Maeda is considered one of the nation’s foremost leaders in the STEM to STEAM initiative. Throughout his presentation Maeda touched on everything from technology, business and design. The keynote address was delivered with an introduction from Rep. Suzanne Bonamici (D-Oregon).

The lecture featured a guitar art show special performance by Kaki King.
