All the arts for all the people.
Every day we at Americans for the Arts think about how to bring the arts into people’s lives—to enrich individuals, communities, and our country. This simple concept is what our field founders worked for and it’s the work that Americans for the Arts continues. In 2012, we achieved so many major milestones, but one thread weaves them together. All of our accomplishments brought the arts into a new frontier, added the arts to the equation, or brought an artist to the table for an in-depth conversation.
We believe in all the arts for all the people. While it can seem daunting at times, we make progress toward this goal every year—every day, week, and month. We reach higher, make new partners, influence more policy, and collect more data. In 2012, we launched some of our biggest projects to date to respond to some of the biggest challenges our field has faced. And together, we can go even further.
